ABOUT ME

My name is FILIP HANAK. I am a Czech artist living and based in Norway. I studied artistic glass processing in the Czech Republic, specializing in glass cutting and design. After finishing high school, I moved to Norway to work as a glass cutter in a glass factory, gaining hands-on experience and honing my technical skills.

My work focuses mainly on cold working techniques with glass. I draw inspiration from the human form, emotions, and psychological states, exploring these themes through the material itself. I am interested in the interplay between precision and intuition, structure and spontaneity, and in how these qualities can express both physical and emotional aspects of human experience.
